Thomas began his career at the age of 16 with SGB, where he developed the practical skills and knowledge that would form the foundation of his career. He later moved into the offshore sector, spending more than a decade working on the Forties Bravo platform. While offshore work offered invaluable experience, Thomas made the decision to return home to spend more time with his family.

On his return, Thomas joined forces with his father, John Winters, carrying out independent scaffold inspections throughout Scotland. What started as a family venture quickly grew into Winters Safety Services Ltd – a business built on integrity, independence, and an unwavering commitment to safety.

For more than 26 years, Thomas has dedicated himself to growing WSS into one of Scotland's leading independent scaffold inspection, training, and health & safety consultancies. His practical expertise, technical knowledge, and commitment to maintaining the highest industry standards have earned him the trust of contractors, local authorities, housing associations, principal contractors, and organisations across Scotland.

With experience in administration, accounts, and customer service, Paula helps ensure the smooth day-to-day running of WSS. She has also gained valuable experience within the airline industry and, more recently, at a CISRS Scaffold Training Centre, giving her a strong understanding of the scaffolding, construction, and training sectors.

Paula holds qualifications in Business Administration and Health & Safety, combining excellent organisational skills with valuable industry knowledge. She is passionate about supporting clients and takes pride in providing a professional, friendly, and efficient service to everyone she works with.

Over the years, Paula has built strong and lasting relationships throughout the scaffolding industry and is often the friendly voice at the end of the phone for WSS clients. Whether arranging scaffold inspections, assisting with training enquiries, or supporting day-to-day operations, Paula always goes the extra mile to ensure every client receives the highest standard of service.

Outside of WSS, Paula is a proud mum of two and enjoys maintaining an active lifestyle through her passion for fitness. She regularly takes part in fitness events and challenges, reflecting the same dedication, commitment, and determination that she brings to her role within the business.
